Becoming

Life is about the journey, it is not about "being, but becoming."

becoming…adj. fit, suitable, congruous, proper, graceful, belonging to the character or adapted to circumstances…

"This life, therefore, is not righteousness, but growth in righteousness; not health, but healing; not being, but becoming; not rest, but exercise. We are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it. The process is not yet finished, but it is going on. This is not the end, but it is the road. All does not yet gleam in glory, but all is being purified."--- Martin Luther, *Defense of All the Articles*, Lazareth transl., as found in Grace Brame, *Receptive Prayer* (Chalice Press, 1985) p.119(Thank you Bella Art Girl for the quote!)

hoping to be back up to regular posting soon!

I have missed my blog! We are back home and my internet connection is acting up, so I have internet connections sometimes and more often I don't have it. After three phone calls to tech support and the phone company concluding that the problem is on their end of things, a person is coming out to look at the situation. Hopefully that will get things up and running.

It is good to be back home, but there have been lots of boxes to unpack. Then my grandma fell this week and cracked a bone. She is currently in the hospital. The kids and I went to visit her today. As we walked up to the hospital, L thought it was a hotel-yup, we were on the road for a long time! The kids are loving being back home, but are still adjusting to things.

B just came in and told me that for the 4th of July, he wants to eat watermelon on the deck and spit the seeds out so we can have a watermelon plant grow there next year. The watemelon I bought is seedless. So, not likely that we will have a watermelon plant growing next year, but we can eat it on the deck!

Have a happy 4th of July!!!!!
