Becoming

becoming…adj. fit, suitable, congruous, proper, graceful, belonging to the character or adapted to circumstances…

"This life, therefore, is not righteousness, but growth in righteousness; not health, but healing; not being, but becoming; not rest, but exercise. We are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it. The process is not yet finished, but it is going on. This is not the end, but it is the road. All does not yet gleam in glory, but all is being purified."--- Martin Luther

Apple Heads, Part 3

Look at that carved face, complete with apple seed eyes.

The instructions we used said to hang the apple on a string to dry, but we decided to borrow a food dryer from my parents to speed up the process a bit.  Thanks mom and dad!

Don't eat the apple head!  I think it looks a little scared here.

There they are, all settled in the food dryer.
And here is the final result.  Yes, a little creepy, but still an interesting project.  Someday we need to read this book.

Cool project! How long did you leave them in the dehydrator? I love edible projects! The cookies look yummy too...and the bread atoms. What's next? Maybe you can find a way to utilize your Trader Joe's caramel sauce? =)

I forget how long now! I think we left them in there for a day or two.

As far as the TJ's caramel sauce, that is my treat after a long day of school ;) I am afraid that if I introduce it to the kids they will utilize it way to quickly.
