Sometimes it is much more fun to hang out at home. My recent favorite date-night-in involved stopping by one of our favorite restaurants and picking up a dessert to go. We arrived home, had a delicious meal of grilled burgers with the kids, tucked them in, C settled in with a movie and M and I snuggled in with our dessert. Simple, but so nice.

Sounds lovely. And true - going out can be a lot of effort sometimes, especially when there isn't a "built in babysitter."
I love those kinds of nights. We usually only have date nights in because I use my babysitting for working. Your night sounded lovely.
Sounds great to me! We RARELY go out and are almost always home together in the evenings, but sometimes we need to do a little extra something to make it special... like dessert. :)
